Furthermore Andrei is coming of 2 losses to Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers, Arlovski is no longer high on the UFC’s “I WANT THEM BACK” list, but Arlovski is a great fighter even if he has been knocked out twice. Andrei was very close when going against Fedor, many people say he was winning the first round of the fight, until Andrei went for some kind of flying knee, I’ll just leave that statement at that.

“Now, he’s had a couple of bad performances,” said White. “He’s got to get back in the mix and win.”White also had some advice for his former employee.“Sometimes, we make bad career decisions. I think leaving the UFC was a bad career decision for him.”Should Arlovski get his career back on track, he would seem to have a chance to return to promotion that made him famous.”

White still has appreciation for Arlovski the person if not his current win-loss record.

“I like Andre,” said White. “I don’t dislike him. He’s a nice guy.”However, with Affliction MMA’s recent demise, the opportunities for “nice guys” has certainly taken a serious hit.

This matchup was actually scheduled to take place at Affliction “Trilogy” on Aug. 1. However, We all saw what happened to Affliction Entertainment. They Just couldn’t handle the fight business; fair play it’s a hard business with a great business at the top of the food chain at the moment (UFC). The Event “Trilogy” got canceled due to Josh Barnett testing positive for steroids, what a jerk. Meaning the Pro-claimed Best Pound for Pound fighter in the world didn’t have a fight.

Rothwell (30-6) rebounded from a third-round knockout loss to Andrei Arlovski at Affliction 1 in July 2008 to submit Chris Guillen with elbows in the first round at Adrenaline MMA 2 last December. An IFL standout, the Wisconsin native has won 16 out of 18 bouts since 2004, including victories over Roy Nelson, Ricco Rodriguez, and Krzysztof Soszynski.

The 25-year-old Gormley was an NAIA All-American Wrestler for Lindenwood University. Gormley (6-0) earned a unanimous decision against former super heavyweight Eric Pele at MFC 16 in June 2008. More fighters are moving to the UFC and I just hope Fedor is one of them.

Furthermore media outlet that is neither an internet forum nor a celebrity gossip site is reporting that a deal to bring Fedor Emelianenko to the UFC is being “finalized” and will be announced later this week.  Because, much like Jay Hieron, we’ve had our hearts broken too many times to get our hopes up, we’re remaining skeptical for the moment despite the L.A. Times’ assertion (via WKR) that negotiations have been “very civil.”

Dana White did say he had something bit to announce maybe Fedor in the UFC? For a 3 Fight Deal, or Maybe a 1 Fight deal against Randy Couture? But Randy’s fighting Nog soon so I can’t see Randy.

Of course there’s always the possibility that his press conference will have nothing to do with his MMA future at all and will instead be a forum for him to answer questions about his newest short story collection, “What We Talk About When We Talk About Stoic Russian Indifference,” but again, let’s not get our hopes up.

Does this mean Tito Ortiz is signing with the UFC again? Let’s hope so, UFC is just getting bigger and getting more and more amazing fighters, we all know Tito is training now and then after he’s recovering from back surgery. This has been a crazy day for MMA.

If I’m a little honest I wasn’t that impressed knowing Josh Barnett wasn’t fighting Fedor because it was afflictions main card and attraction. I am kinda impressed with Vitor’s striking though, he is an awesome strike and would love him to just stand and bang with Fedor.

Tom Atencio said he hopes to secure a replacement for Fedor (1 week till the fight), my question is who will take this fight at such short notice? MyCage.co.uk reported earlier in the week that Vitor Belfort did agree to fight Fedor according to two separate negotiations. But is Vitor just doing this for the pay check or does he feel lucky as hell? Because fighting Fedor with 1 week till the fight is just insane.

Never the less former WWE fighter Bobby lashley is also in talks with fighting Fedor, if Lashley did beat Fedor hell that would be a BIG shock to the MMA world. But don’t get your hopes up Bobby Lashley denied to fight Fedor on Tuesday, like any normal person would. Who do you guys think will replace Fedor?

Barnett said that he had not been notified of any issues with his eligibility as of Tuesday evening, well I’m sorry Josh but you tested Positive, rules are rules. 

Josh told multiple sources: 

“I took my test three weeks ago. I would have thought I would have heard something by now”

However, the former UFC heavyweight champion said he had not checked his phone messages recently and later added:

“No matter what happens with this, I can assure you I will clear my name. This will not be something that I am defined by.” 

Many sources have told mycage.co.uk that affliction are in talks with Belfort and up coming MMA Star Bobby Lashley. Lashley has denied, right fully in my opinion because he has not trained for the fight and you can’t train 1 week for a fight against the best fighter in the world. 

Bobby Lashley told us:

“I don’t know if I would want it right now. Since the last fight, I haven’t really been into training again,” he said. “That fight is next week. That would be something I would really have to take a look at. To just jump in there probably wouldn’t be the smartest thing for me right now. A lot of people would say that might be a money fight. They figure, ‘If we give him enough money, will he do it?’ That’s what people tend to look at. I don’t want to get into fighting for the money so much right now.” 

Vitor Belfort former UFC light heavyweight champion (18-8) is on track to face American Top Team fighter Jorge Santiago in a middleweight bout on the Aug. 1st Card. I can only say that It will take one strong SOB to face Fedor with 1 week of training for the best fighter in the world. Good luck too them.

Many Rumours are arising about Fedor & Arlovski to have a rematch, furthermore concluding this statement Arlovski has been annocued to fight Brett Rogers on June 6th. Fedor is considered to be the best pound for pound fighter in the world by many, except for of course Dana White. Now I’m not being stubborn here, dont get me wrong I like Dana. But if Fedor was in his organisation I 100% think Dana would class Fedor as the best Pound for Pound and not Anderson Silva.

Barnett, 24-5 and a former UFC champion, most recently defeated Gilbert Yvel by submission due to strikes at Affliction 2 in January. He and Emelianenko are long-time friends, but will put their relationship aside for one night.
